Use of RentTruth
You must provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials, use RentTruth lawfully, and be authorized to submit any content or documents you provide. You may not scrape, disrupt, reverse engineer, impersonate another person, evade access controls, or use RentTruth to harass, discriminate, defraud, or make unlawful housing decisions.
Reviews and Public Content
Reviews, questions, answers, responses, and reports must be honest, relevant, and based on a legitimate experience. Do not post threats, harassment, discrimination, spam, private information, or content that violates another person’s rights. You retain ownership of your content and grant RentTruth a non-exclusive license to host, display, moderate, translate, and distribute it to operate the service. RentTruth may reject, restrict, or remove content and accounts. Reporting or blocking a person does not guarantee removal, and a blocked person is not told who blocked them.
Accounts, Verification, and Deletion
Verification indicates only that submitted evidence met the review process used at that time; it is not a guarantee about a person, property, or claim. You can delete your account in the app. Access ends immediately, associated personal data and user content are deleted or anonymized within 30 days, and limited payment, fraud, tax, security, or dispute records may be retained when legally necessary with identifiers removed where feasible. A private internal account identifier may remain solely to deny stale access. Deletion is irreversible.
Property Intelligence and Public Sources
Property reports, maps, estimates, reviews, and public records may be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable. Coverage varies by jurisdiction and provider. Verify important information with the linked official source, property manager, qualified professional, or government agency. RentTruth does not guarantee habitability, safety, ownership, value, legal compliance, or future conditions.
Payments and Subscriptions
Prices and billing terms are shown before purchase. Stripe processes payments. One-time reports are charged when confirmed; property tracking is priced per property and renews until canceled. Cancel tracking for a specific property in RentTruth. Access continues through the paid period when cancellation is scheduled. Except where required by law or expressly stated, completed digital reports and elapsed subscription periods are non-refundable. Failed, reversed, or fraudulent payments may suspend paid access.
No Legal Advice or Eligibility Decisions
RentTruth provides general decision-support information, not legal, financial, real-estate, safety, inspection, credit, or screening advice. RentTruth does not make rental eligibility decisions and must not be used as the sole basis for housing, employment, credit, insurance, or other regulated decisions.
Availability and Liability
The service is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. Features and third-party sources may change or be interrupted. To the maximum extent permitted by law, RentTruth is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for decisions made from user content or third-party data. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited.
